Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Always use meaningful file name for your images, use names like "levitate-header.jpg" instead of meaningless "CGF456jpg". Keep image file name same or similar to the ALT text. Whenever you want to link to your image, use the image keywords in your link text. Example: use "view an levitate-Laptops", instead of "Click here to view" as the anchor text.
